Story

In 2015 I ran the Bath Half Marathon for Meningitis Now in loving memory of Edward Saunders. Ed played a huge role in my childhood, and we grew up together. The Saunders' are a second family to me, and because of this I saw Ed as my little brother. Ed still is, and will always be the closest I could possibly get to my very own little brother. He will always have a special place in my heart. I kickstarted my love for running again back in March 2020 during lockdown. That’s when I started to think about how wonderful it would be to remember Ed by running for a cause, and giving back during these tough times that we are all currently facing. It’s always been a dream of mine to run the London Marathon, and what better way to do it than to run for someone who I hold so dearly in my childhood memories! Ed has inspired me to get running for a cause once again, and I have no doubt that his cheeky smile and the lovely memories I have with him will spur me on to keep going on the day!
